Media Company Zippos
The 20th Century saw an evolution in mass communication from publishing into broadcasting, including radio and television. Many of the companies participating in media revolution used the Zippo for advertising their goods and services.

This 1951-52 all-black enamel Zippo with gold paint advertising GE Black Daylight TV with Ultra-Vision is one of the most desirable advertising Zippos. This one comes in a special box. 1949-50 Zippo engraved with "Gulfstream Park 1950 - Walter Winchell". Walter Winchell (1897-1972) was a US journalist and broadcaster whose columns and radio broadcasts with news and gossip gave him a massive audience and much influence in the U.S. during the 1930-50s. Gulfstream Park is a racetrack in Florida. 1961 advertising Field & Stream and Town & Country magazines. 1953 Zippo with with a DuMont television set. DuMont, founded in 1938, was a television network that produced the first all-electronic television set for sale to the American public. 1954-55 two-sided Zippo advertising Sylvania TV with HaloLight - Kinder to Your Eyes! The reverse is engraved with H.C. Givan, Jr., Illustrious Potentate, Syria Temple 1954.
