In 1903 the first Harley-Davidson motorcycle was placed into production by William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson. Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Harley-Davidson Motor Company produces large heavyweight motorcycles designed for cruising on the highway. Harley-Davidson motorcycles, known as "Harleys" or "Hogs", have a distinctive design and are noted for the tradition of heavy customization that gave rise to the chopper-style of motorcycle. Harley Davidson Zippos have become very popular both with bikers and collectors, and in the 1990's Zippo licensed the Harley-Davidson brand and have since produced a large variety of sought-after Harley Davidson designs on the Zippo lighter.
