  Extremely rare Town & Country transitional Zippo with image of George Blaisdell , founder of Zippo Deeply etched with multi-color enamels  


 
  This rare Town & Country transitional Zippo from 1969 depicts George G. Blaisdell who invented the Zippo lighter in 1932 and who founded the Zippo Manufacturing Company in Bradford, Pennsylvania. He named the Zippo after the then recently invented zipper.

The back has two stars on the lid and reads "Presented to Jack Chellew Thanks for a Job Well Done" and has the signature of G.G. Blaisdell 1962.
       
40th Anniversary Zippo  - Thank You for being an important part of Zippo's success story in our first 40 wonderful years - GG Blaisdell Founder & President    40th Anniversary Zippo from 1972.  It reads "Thank You for being an important part of Zippo's success story in our first 40 wonderful years - G.Gl Blaisdell Founder & President ".  This lighter was presented to every Zippo employee and sales representative and to special vendors as a thank you from Mr. Blaisdell.
