This 1954 Zippo advertises Braniff International Airways, a major carrier founded in 1928 by Thomas Braniff, lasting 64 years until it failed in 1992. Alaska Airlines traces its roots to McGee Airways, which inaugurated service between Anchorage and Bristol Bay, Alaska in 1932. Today it also serves Canada and the Pacific Northwest. This Zippo is from 1977.
