Aircraft Zippos
The evolution of the aviation industry starting in the 1930's coincided with the advent of the Zippo. Many of the pioneering manufacturers such as Boeing, Lockheed, Grumman Beechcraft and Bell as well as airlines such as American and United made extensive use of the Zippo for advertising, marketing and promotion. As a result, aviation-related Zippos offer the collector a wide choice of themes. Rare 1956 Town & Country jetliner Zippo.

Lockheed Aircraft is one of the oldest manufacturers, tracing its origins back to 1912 and has contributed aircraft such as the Electra, P-3 Orion, Constellation, C-130 Hercules, F-104 Starfighter and F-16 Fighting Falcon as well as to the development of missiles and spacecraft.
